VapeExperts Review of the Mighty+
The Mighty+ from Storz & Bickel set the benchmark for what a portable session vaporizer should deliver. Released in 2021 as an upgrade to the legendary 2014 original, it combines hybrid heating with an 11-session battery and a medical-grade build that earned both UL and TÜV certification.
Newer portables like the Venty9.1 have since pushed the category forward with faster heat-up and adjustable airflow. The Mighty+ counters with something harder to quantify: the same consistent, full-flavored vapor every single session, regardless of how you pack it or how fast you draw. That reliability is why it remains on our best portable vaporizers list as of May 2026.
The kit covers basics but skips the fast charger
Storz & Bickel keeps the included accessories practical:
Mighty+ vaporizer
USB-C charging cable
3 spare fine mesh screens
3 spare coarse screens
3 base seal rings
1 dosing capsule
Cleaning brush
Quick start guide and user manual
The single included dosing capsule is enough to test the system, but anyone who prefers capsule loading will want a set of extras. The USB-C Supercharger, which cuts charge time by roughly two-thirds, is sold separately. At this price point, it should be in the box.
The 242 g PEEK plastic body stays cool through long sessions
The Mighty+ is built from PEEK (polyether ether ketone), the same thermoplastic used in surgical implants and aerospace applications. At 140 × 80 × 30 mm and 242 g, it's among the larger portables on the market. Pocketing it works in a jacket or cargo pants, but this vape is more comfortable in a bag or resting on a table.
Angled heat sink fins running along both sides serve a dual purpose: they improve grip and channel heat away from the shell so the exterior stays cool even deep into a session. The bright orange power button and up/down arrows are tactile and easy to locate by feel. A front-mounted LCD display shows current temperature, set temperature, and battery level in a clean, no-nonsense layout.
The cooling unit sits on top and swivels open with a quarter turn to expose the ceramic-coated stainless steel oven. Every cooling unit component is replaceable, and previous-generation Mighty cooling units are fully compatible. Small integrated feet at the base let the Mighty+ stand upright with a slight backward lean, though stability on uneven surfaces is limited.
Whether you own the Mighty+ or are still deciding — your thoughts and questions are welcome here.

Hybrid heater produces dense, full-flavored vapor from the first draw
The Mighty+ uses Storz & Bickel's patented hybrid system. Conduction from the ceramic-coated oven walls heats cannabis on contact, while convection from heated intake air passes through the chamber to extract from all sides simultaneously. This dual approach produces even extraction with no stirring required.
Heat-up takes about 60 seconds regardless of your target temperature, which spans 40°C to 210°C in 1°C increments. That's slower than most modern portables.
The trade-off is immediate payoff: when the Mighty+ vibrates to signal it's ready, the first draw is full-flavored and dense. Many faster-heating vapes need 2-3 draws to reach peak vapor production.
The cooling unit earns its keep across the temperature range. Vapor travels through a maze-like path inside the top cap before reaching the mouthpiece, arriving noticeably cooler than the setting would suggest. Draw resistance stays low and natural, more like breathing through a slightly restricted straw than fighting for airflow.
At higher temperatures near 210°C, clouds thicken visibly and effects intensify, but vapor stays smoother than most portables at the same setting. Storz & Bickel's SuperBoost shortcut helps here: double-tap the power button to add 15°C, or triple-tap for 30°C, each lasting 90 seconds.
It's a quick way to finish a session with full extraction without manually adjusting settings. Our temperature guide covers how to match temperature to desired effects.
Terpenes come through cleanly at lower temperatures around 175-185°C, where the hybrid system gently extracts flavor before conduction heat builds for fuller clouds. The 0.3 g oven handles anything from a light microdose to a full pack, and most sessions finish in 8-12 draws.
Battery delivers 11 sessions on a single USB-C charge
The Mighty+ packs a 3000 mAh built-in lithium-ion battery that powered through 11 sessions on a full charge in our testing. Total runtime lands between 60 and 90 minutes depending on temperature settings, with higher temps draining the battery faster.
USB-C charging is standard, but charge speed depends entirely on your power brick. A basic 5 V/2 A charger fills the battery in about 120 minutes. Storz & Bickel's optional Supercharger (45 W output) brings that down to roughly 40 minutes to 80% and enables full pass-through charging, so you can vape while plugged in without needing any remaining battery.
The battery is non-replaceable. Storz & Bickel handles replacements under their warranty program, which covers the first 3 years after registration.
One-button operation needs no app or technique
The Mighty+ is the easiest portable we've handed to first-time vaporizer users. Twist open the cooling unit, drop ground cannabis into the oven, close it, and press the power button. The display shows current and target temperatures while the vape heats, and a vibration signals when it's ready.
Temperature adjustment uses two physical buttons with responsive clicks. No app, no Bluetooth, no smartphone required. Everything lives on the device.
The SuperBoost double-tap and triple-tap shortcuts make temp stepping intuitive: start at 180°C for flavor, then boost when vapor thins to finish with full extraction.
Dosing capsules simplify the process further. These small aluminum containers preload with cannabis and drop directly into the oven, eliminating mess during loading and keeping the oven cleaner between deep cleans.
Cleaning the oven itself takes seconds: brush it out with the included tool while still warm after each session. The cooling unit needs deeper attention every week or two of daily use.
It disassembles into several parts for soaking in isopropyl alcohol. Rotating between two cooling units (sold separately) makes maintenance nearly invisible. For a full walkthrough, see our vaporizer cleaning guide.
How the Mighty+ compares to its closest competitors
Mighty+ vs Venty
The Venty is Storz & Bickel's flagship portable and the Mighty+'s direct successor. It heats in 20 seconds (vs 60), runs a 140 W heater with a flowmeter that adjusts to your draw speed, and offers adjustable airflow up to 20 L/min that no other portable matches.
Vapor quality between the two is remarkably similar, since both use S&B's hybrid approach. The Venty adds Bluetooth app control and faster temperature recovery between draws. Battery life is comparable at 11 sessions each.
The gap comes down to price. The Venty commands flagship pricing while the Mighty+ has settled below its original MSRP. For a detailed spec-by-spec breakdown, see our Mighty+ vs Venty comparison. If speed and open airflow are priorities, the Venty wins. If consistent vapor at a lower price sounds right, the Mighty+ delivers the same proven reliability.
Mighty+ vs Crafty+
The Crafty+7.4 uses the same hybrid heating system and produces nearly identical vapor in a 135 g body, roughly half the Mighty+'s weight. It's genuinely pocketable where the Mighty+ is not.
That portability costs you 5 sessions per charge (vs 11) and no on-device temperature display. Adjusting temperature on the Crafty+ requires the smartphone app. For users who vape more than a few sessions between charges or prefer standalone controls, the Mighty+ is the stronger pick. See our Crafty+ vs Mighty+ comparison for the full breakdown.
Mighty+ vs Arizer Solo 3
The Arizer Solo 38.2 takes a different path with convection-dominant hybrid heating through an all-glass borosilicate vapor path. It heats in 15 seconds, offers both session and on-demand modes, and edges out the Mighty+ on battery life at 13 sessions per charge.
The Solo 3 produces cleaner terpene separation, while the Mighty+ delivers thicker, denser clouds with zero learning curve. The Solo 3's glass stems add fragility and bulk that the Mighty+'s self-contained design avoids. If flavor purity matters most, the Solo 3 wins. If you want set-and-forget consistency with no breakable parts, the Mighty+ has the edge.
Who should buy the Mighty+
All-day portable users who need a vape that won't die after 3-4 sessions. The 11-session battery outlasts most competitors in this price class.
Group session sharers who pass a vape around the room. Low draw resistance, a cool-touch exterior, and no-technique operation make it the most hand-it-to-anyone portable we've tested.
First-time vaporizer buyers with the budget for a mid-range device. The Mighty+ has the shallowest learning curve of any portable in our rankings, and Storz & Bickel's 3-year warranty provides a real safety net. If the Mighty+'s size or price feels like too much, the Veazy7.8 offers the same S&B heating system in a smaller, lighter body at a lower price point. A water pipe adapter also opens up home bong sessions when you want cooled vapor.
Final verdict
The Mighty+ does not chase trends. It doesn't heat in 5 seconds, fit in a coin pocket, or connect to your phone. What it does is produce the same smooth, well-extracted vapor on session 500 as it did on session 1. As of May 2026, VapeExperts recommends the Mighty+ as the portable to buy when reliability and ease of use matter more than bleeding-edge specs.
