About Storz & Bickel
Markus Storz began developing vaporizers in 1996, and the first Volcano reached the market in 2000. Jürgen Bickel joined as a partner in 2002, when Storz & Bickel GmbH & Co. KG was founded. The Volcano Classic remains in the current catalogue, with its balloon-based desktop format still central to the brand.
Mighty and Crafty launched in 2014 as the company's first battery-powered models. Canopy Growth completed its acquisition of Storz & Bickel in December 2018. S&B currently states that its vapes are made at its factory in Tuttlingen, Germany.
Mighty+, Venty and the smaller Veazy offer different balances of size, controls and airflow, and retail partners report that the Crafty+ and Plenty are being phased out, so remaining stock is being cleared. The Volcano Hybrid arrived in 2019, the Mighty+ in 2021, the Venty in 2023 and the Veazy in 2025. Volcano Hybrid supports both balloon and tube use, whereas Classic uses the balloon system.
