The POTV Lobo is Planet of the Vapes' first in-house vaporizer design, and it punches above its price class. A hybrid heater (convection-dominant with conductive oven walls) paired with a glass-and-titanium vapor path delivers terpene clarity that budget portables rarely achieve, while the extraction system vaporizes a full 0.2 g oven with no stirring required.
Pair it with POTV's ecosystem of glass bubblers and water pipe adapters, and you have the budget portable VapeExperts recommends most on our best budget vaporizer ranking. It heats to 198°C in about 40 seconds, runs 10 sessions per charge, and costs roughly half what the Mighty+ asks. We tested the Lobo through its stock dimpled stem, aftermarket bubblers, and a water pipe adapter over several weeks of daily sessions.
Build quality is where the pricing shows through. The session timer starts before the heater reaches temperature, the display washes out in sunlight, and glass-only mouthpieces limit pocket durability. Real trade-offs, but the extraction quality makes them easy to accept.
What's in the box
The Lobo ships ready for your first session. Inside: the vaporizer, a dimpled glass cooling stem, one dosing capsule, a concentrate pad (for use with the dosing capsule), three spare screens, an agave-fiber cleaning brush, loading tool, replacement O-ring, USB-C to USB-C cable, and quick-start guide.
Missing from the box: a USB power adapter. The USB-C to USB-C cable requires a compatible charging brick, which most households already own.

Anodized aluminum body at 150 g
The Lobo's anodized aluminum shell keeps total weight to 150 g (without glass) and doubles as a heatsink that stays cool during back-to-back sessions. The matte finish comes in black, blue, or green. At 89 mm tall and 54 mm wide without the glass stem, it slides into a jacket pocket or purse.
The vapor path is fully isolated from electronics. Air enters through a bottom intake, passes through the hybrid heater and titanium oven, and exits through a borosilicate glass mouthpiece connected via PEEK plastic. No silicone contacts the vapor at any point.
Where the price shows: the LCD display struggles in direct sunlight, the threaded battery compartment door can overtighten or slip from your fingers, and the aluminum shell has no grip texture. A protective sleeve is a smart add-on (more in our vaporizer accessories guide). The 2-year warranty and POTV's 100-day satisfaction guarantee do provide reassurance on the build.
