October 2024 Update
Two years after its release, the Tinymight 2 continues to impress me. While newer vapes like the Arizer Solo 3 and Venty boast faster heat-up times and flashy features, the TM2’s handcrafted quality and pure convection power still deliver some of the most potent, flavorful vapor I’ve experienced in a portable vape.
Compared to the popular Mighty+, the Tinymight 2 keeps up in vapor quality while offering a more pocketable size, on-demand mode, and replaceable batteries for extended sessions. The artisan touches like the walnut wood body give it a unique character missing from mass-produced vapes.
The Tinymight 2 does have a steeper learning curve than entry-level options like the XMax V3 Pro and requires diligent cleaning. But it rewards your efforts with some of the hardest-hitting, most flavorful vapor of any battery-powered vape. It’s a connoisseur-level device that still holds its own against 2024’s latest and greatest.
Quick Review Summary
- Massive, flavorful hits
- Fast 10-second heat-up
- On-demand or session modes
- Adjustable bowl size
- USB-C fast charging
- Removable 18650 battery for extended sessions
- Expensive at $349
- Slight learning curve
- Stems can get hot
- Cooling unit needs frequent cleaning to maintain performance
Unboxing and First Impressions
The Tinymight 2 makes a great first impression with its premium packaging and included accessories. In the box, you’ll find:
- Tinymight 2 Vaporizer
- 18650 Battery (Molicel P26A)
- 55mm Glass Stem
- 80mm Titanium Stem
- Cooling Unit
- USB-C Charging Cable
- Instruction Manual
- Carrying Pouch
The Tinymight 2 has a solid, high-quality feel with its metal and walnut wood construction. The smooth walnut finish not only looks great but provides heat insulation to keep the vape cool in your hand.

On the bottom, you’ll find the analog temperature dial which ranges from 0-10. Each number corresponds to a 20°F (11°C) increase in temp, with a range of approximately 300-430°F (150-220°C). The dial has a nice resistance and won’t accidentally change in your pocket.

The Tinymight 2 measures 3.5″ tall, 1.5″ wide, and 1″ deep (9 x 3.8 x 2.5 cm), making it very pocketable. It has some noticeable heft at 6.5oz (185g) due to the sturdy construction and 18650 battery inside.

The Tinymight 2 comes with two stem options – a 55mm glass stem and an 80mm titanium stem. Both use the same stainless steel cooling unit with a helix insert to cool the vapor. The titanium stem provides a bit more cooling due to the extra length.
Heating, Vapor Quality and Strength
The Tinymight 2 uses a full convection heating system powered by an 18650 battery to deliver outstanding vapor quality and hard-hitting effects. The heater is extremely powerful and can reach vaping temps in just 5-10 seconds.
The vapor produced is impressively smooth and flavorful, especially at lower temps. The first hit or two are full of tasty terpenes before progressing to thicker, more potent hits. With the open airflow, you can really milk the Tinymight 2 and extract a bowl in just a couple massive rips.

The effects from the Tinymight 2 are very strong and come on fast. This is one of the hardest hitting portable vaporizers I’ve tried, capable of delivering desktop-like hits. Even just a bowl or two can leave you heavily medicated.
The cooling unit does a good job taming the hot convection vapor, but the short vapor path means hits can be a bit harsh, especially at high temps. I found the best flavor and effects in the 4-6 range on the dial (360-390°F / 180-200°C). Past 7 it can get pretty hot and toasty. The titanium stem helps a bit if you like higher temps.

The bowl size on the Tinymight 2 is adjustable by sliding the cooling unit up or down the stem. This allows you to pack as little as 0.05g for microdosing or up to 0.3g for longer sessions. I found a medium pack around 0.15g to be ideal for big, satisfying hits.
One thing to note – the Tinymight 2 seems to work best with a medium to fine grind. Packing full nugs or a coarse grind makes it harder to get good hits and can result in uneven heating. Stick to a fluffy, even pack for the best performance.
While the vapor is very strong, the Tinymight 2 remains efficient thanks to the full convection heating and adjustable bowl size. You can really tailor the experience to your needs, whether it’s just a quick hit or two or a longer session. With a stir or two, I was able to fully extract bowls leaving nothing but light brown AVB.
[P6 – Shot of titanium and glass stems side-by-side]
The Tinymight 2 also works very well with glass pieces. The stems fit 14mm female joints natively, or you can pick up a water pipe adapter for 18mm setups. I really enjoy using it through a bubbler to cool and condition the vapor even more.
While the vapor quality and strength are impressive, the Tinymight 2 does require some technique to get the best hits consistently. The open airflow means you need to draw slowly to let heat build up. Go too fast and you’ll get wispy hits. Once you get the hang of it though, the TM2 can dump clouds on par with any heavy hitter.
On-Demand and Session Modes
One of the best features of the Tinymight 2 is the ability to use it in either on-demand or session mode:
On-demand mode is activated by triple clicking the power button. The heater will engage at a low temperature to be ready at a moment’s notice. When you’re ready to hit it, simply hold the button and wait for the vape to buzz indicating it’s up to temp (usually 3-5 seconds). Then hit it as long as you’d like and release the button when done. This is great for a quick hit or two without wasting any herb.

Session mode keeps the heater on and at temp for an extended period. To activate, double click the button from off. The Tinymight 2 will buzz to indicate it’s heating and buzz again once it’s ready. From there you can hit it at your leisure without having to hold the button. It’s great for passing around a group or a longer solo session. To end the session, simply triple click to turn it off.
I love having both modes available as they’re useful for different situations. On-demand is great for a quick toke or two, while session lets you kick back and relax. It’s also nice when sharing so you don’t have to keep explaining the button press to people.
Battery Life and Charging
The Tinymight 2 is powered by a single 18650 battery. Battery life will depend a lot on your usage, but I average around 5-6 bowls per charge. Heavier users may only get 3-4 while microdosers can stretch it to 8+. On average, expect around 30-40 minutes of runtime.
The included Molicel P26A battery is a great high-drain option and the integrated USB-C charging works well. You can go from dead to full in about 3 hours. That said, I always recommend picking up an external charger and a few spare batteries to have ready to go. Thankfully, swapping batteries is super easy on the TM2.
The Tinymight 2 has pass-through charging, so you can use it while plugged in if you’re in a pinch. It only charges at 1A though, so it’s definitely slower than using an external charger. Still, it’s a handy feature to have when you need it.
One thing I love is that the Tinymight 2 has multiple battery indicators. When you turn it on, it will buzz 1-4 times to indicate charge level (4 being full). The LED light will also change color from green (full) to blue, purple, and finally red when it’s almost dead. It’s a small touch but super handy to know when you need to swap batteries.
Overall, I’ve found battery life to be solid for a vape of this power level. It’s not the longest-lasting but the ability to easily swap batteries makes up for it. Just make sure to keep some spares handy and you’ll never have to worry about running out of juice.
Unique Features
The Tinymight 2 has a few unique features that set it apart from other vaporizers in its class:
First is the built-in stir stick, which is cleverly hidden in the top of the device. Just pop it out and give your bowl a quick stir to ensure even heating. It also doubles as a tamper for packing down your herbs. The stir stick has a couple small holes in it that allow the LED light to shine through, giving you a visual indicator of the battery life from the top of the vape.
[P8 – Close up of the stir stick showing holes for LED light]
Another unique feature is the ability to use the Tinymight 2 for concentrates. The 10th temperature setting, nicknamed “Beast Mode”, ramps the temp up to around 450°F (230°C) which is perfect for wax and shatter. Just drop a rice grain sized amount into the bowl and hold the button until it melts, then hit it like normal. It’s surprisingly effective and eliminates the need to carry a separate dab pen.
Lastly, the Tinymight 2 has a hidden “stealth mode” that turns off all the LED lights and buzzing for discreet sessions. To activate, hold the power button while turning the temp dial from 0 to 1. The vape will buzz once to confirm. Now you can use it without drawing any attention. To deactivate, just turn the unit off and back on.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning the Tinymight 2 is fairly straightforward but will need to be done regularly for best performance. The only parts that really need cleaning are the stems and cooling units. I recommend wiping out the bowl after each session while it’s still warm to prevent buildup.
[P9 – Tinymight 2 disassembled showing stems and cooling unit]
The cooling units consist of a metal helix and two screens that sit inside the stem. To clean, disassemble and soak everything in isopropyl alcohol for about 30 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and let dry completely before reassembling. I find the cooling units need to be cleaned about every 5-6 bowls to keep vapor production at its best.
The stems themselves can be cleaned by soaking in ISO or using pipe cleaners. If you stay on top of cleaning after each session, you can get away with only doing a deep clean every couple weeks or so.
As for the unit itself, just brush out the bowl and wipe down the outside as needed. The Tinymight 2 has an isolated air path, so no vapor passes through the electronics. Maintenance is very easy overall, just keep the stems and cooling units clean and it will treat you well.
Warranty and Reliability
The Tinymight 2 is handmade in Finland and feels very solid and well-constructed. The materials are high quality and everything fits together nicely with smooth threading. I have no concerns about long-term durability.
The Tinymight 2 comes with a 3 year manufacturer warranty against defects, which is one of the longest in the industry. That said, the vape is made in small batches and dealing with warranty claims from Finland could be a slow process. Treat it well and you shouldn’t have any issues, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Verdict
The Tinymight 2 is an outstanding dry herb vaporizer that offers top-shelf vapor quality and impressive versatility in a pocketable form factor. The on-demand convection heater delivers monster rips with excellent flavor, while the session mode and adjustable bowl size make it adaptable to any situation.
Yes, it’s expensive at $349, but I believe it’s worth the premium for the pure convection vapor and handmade quality. It’s one of the few vapes that truly lives up to the “Mighty killer” hype. If you’re looking for the hardest hitting portable on the market, the Tinymight 2 should be at the top of your list.
[P10 – A lifestyle photo of someone using the Tinymight 2 outdoors, demonstrating its portability and discreet nature.]
It’s not without its quirks – the hot vapor and frequent cleaning may be drawbacks for some. And the lack of precise temperature control and haptic feedback may turn off the most technical users. But if you’re after a vape that performs like a beast and can keep up with the heaviest of sessions, the Tinymight 2 is tough to beat.
The Tinymight 2 is a top-shelf vaporizer with a price to match. But for those seeking the best of the best, it’s a worthy investment. It’s a rare vape that combines massive hitting power with true portability and efficiency. If you want one device that can do it all – on-demand hits, session mode, dry herbs, concentrates – look no further than the Tinymight 2.
