Tinymight 2 vs Frolic: flavor and vapor
Both are convection vapes with session and on-demand modes, and both hit hard. Vapor quality is nearly level, at 9.6 for the Tinymight 2 and 9.5 for the Frolic.
The Tinymight 2 is the flavor pick in our best portable vaporizers ranking. Its pure convection heater and glass stem gave us the cleaner terpene taste of the two. In on-demand mode, 2 or 3 long draws finished a 0.15 g load.
The Frolic is our pick for power users, and it earns that title. At 205°C, its clouds turned thick and milky while staying cool on the throat. At high temperatures, a full 0.2 g oven cleared in just 2 or 3 hard draws.
Airflow is the real split. You can pull the Frolic wide open like a desktop, or close the ring for a tighter, more flavorful draw. The Tinymight 2 wants long, firm pulls to bring out its densest clouds.
Controls and ease of use
The Frolic leads ease of use, 8.5 to 7.5. You set an exact temperature on the screen, and Session mode runs a timer from 100 to 500 seconds. Two quirks bugged us: the screen sits on the bottom, and refitting the cooling unit often pressed both buttons and opened the settings menu.
The Tinymight 2 asks for more patience: button sequences start each mode, and the dial runs from level 1 at 140°C to level 9 at 220°C in 10°C steps. Level 10 is Beast Mode at 250°C in on-demand mode. Once you learn it, the control is excellent, and we loaded from a 0.05 g microdose to 0.15 g by sliding the cooling unit.
Battery, size and carry
Portability is where the Tinymight 2 earns its tie. It scores 9.0 there against 7.8, and it disappears into a closed fist, with the glass stem poking out the top. The Frolic measures 105 x 63 x 24 mm and suits jacket or cargo pockets better than tight jeans.
The Frolic's 5000 mAh 21700 holds nearly twice the charge of the Tinymight 2's 2800 mAh 18650, which gave us about 5 sessions per charge. Both cells swap in seconds, so a charged spare fixes either gap. Our battery guide covers how to carry loose cells safely.
Build quality favors the Frolic, 9.2 to 8.8, because its Ultem and PEEK body felt dense and nothing on our unit flexed. The walnut Tinymight 2 is hand-built in Finland and feels solid too, with no creaking or flex.
Loading, sessions and cleaning
The Frolic has an open oven. Lift off the cooling unit (it takes a firm pull), fill loosely to the rim and refit it flush. The Tinymight 2 loads into its glass stem, and you set the dose by sliding the cooling unit, from a 0.05 g microdose up to 0.15 g.
Session mode works differently on each. The Frolic runs a timer from 100 to 500 seconds and shuts the heat off for you. The Tinymight 2 keeps heating until you switch it off. On the Tinymight 2, a mid-session stir pays off: in session mode it bought us 3 or 4 more full draws, and the built-in multitool doubles as the stirrer.
Cleaning is simple on both. Soak the Tinymight 2 glass and metal parts in isopropyl alcohol with the O-rings off, and keep liquid away from the walnut. Brush the Frolic oven after each session and take the cooling unit apart every few weeks. Everything except its O-rings and aluminum lock wheel can go in alcohol, the dishwasher or an ultrasonic cleaner.
