The Arizer XQ2 is the best-value desktop vaporizer VapeExperts has tested as of May 2026. It delivers both whip and balloon bag vapor through a pure convection glass path at roughly a third of the Volcano Hybrid's asking price.
Arizer released the XQ2 in 2022 as the successor to the long-running Extreme Q, addressing that model's biggest shortcomings. An isolated air path separates vapor from internal electronics. A replaceable intake filter cleans incoming air.
The redesigned connoisseur bowl positions cannabis closer to the ceramic heating element for improved extraction. The XQ2 rewards patience over speed. It excels at drawn-out sessions where you step through temperatures, not one-hit chamber clearing.
At this price point, no other desktop matches the combination of delivery options, flavor clarity, and hands-off operation.
Everything ships ready for whip and balloon sessions
Arizer packs both delivery methods in the box: a 3-foot silicone whip, a glass mini whip, two balloon bags with connector, a glass balloon mouthpiece, and a silicone cap that seals filled bags. The cap directly improves on the old Extreme Q system, which relied on your thumb to stop leaks.
Additional accessories include two glass connoisseur bowls, two tough bowl grips, a stainless steel stirring tool, screens, a glass aromatherapy dish with lavender sample, and a replaceable air filter. The remote control handles every function from across the room.
Two connoisseur bowls mean you can pre-load a fresh one while the other cools. The aromatherapy dish scents a room with dried botanicals between sessions, a surprisingly useful bonus.

Aluminum base stays compact while glass parts demand care
The XQ2 base measures 190 × 127 × 127 mm and weighs 1,134 g. The anodized aluminum shell sits lower than most flagship desktops, small enough to tuck behind a monitor or rest unobtrusively on a side table.
An LED light strip circles the base and doubles as a real-time status indicator in Dynamic mode. It pulses yellow-to-orange while heating, flashes green at the target temperature, turns purple when the fan runs, and shifts cyan while cooling.
The borosilicate glass components (bowls, balloon connector, whip elbow) deliver flavor clarity that plastic paths cannot match. They also conduct serious heat and crack on impact. Arizer's included tough bowl grips cover the connoisseur bowl's exterior, but the balloon arm and whip mouthpiece remain exposed and hot after sessions.
