Vapor and flavor
The Rogue 2 scores 9.0 for vapor against 8.2 for the Crafty+. Its convection-led hybrid heater does most of the work with hot air, while the titanium chamber adds a little contact heat. Around 185°C we got bright, terpy notes with light clouds. Past 200°C the vapor thickens and turns roasted, and the glass mouthpiece keeps it smooth.
The Crafty+ trades flavor detail for comfort. Its cooling unit sends out cool, fluffy clouds even at its 210°C top preset. The draw is wide open, closer to breathing through a straw than pulling on a pipe. That makes it the easier vape to hand a friend who has never tried one.
Technique matters more on the Rogue 2. It rewards slow, steady draws of 7 to 10 seconds, while quick and sharp pulls cool the heater and thin the vapor.
Controls and ease of use
This is the biggest day-to-day gap. The Rogue 2 does everything on the vape, with three clicks to switch on and plus and minus for any setting from 138-221°C. It buzzes when it's ready, and a session timer runs from 3 to 8 minutes.
The Crafty+ runs on one button. Hold it for 180°C, double-click for 195°C and triple-click for 210°C. For 1°C steps you open Storz & Bickel's web app in a Bluetooth-capable browser. Most owners set it once and move on, but there is no display on the vape to check.
Our ease scores follow that split, with 9.0 for the Rogue 2 and 8.5 for the Crafty+. Both take dosing capsules, so you can preload a few at home and swap them in on the go.
Battery and charging
Both batteries are built in, so neither can be swapped when it wears out. In our testing, the Rogue 2 ran about 10 five-minute sessions per charge. The Crafty+ managed about 5 at mixed temperatures, dropping to 3 or 4 at its 210°C top preset. A full USB-C charge takes about 90 minutes on the Rogue 2 and about 120 on the Crafty+. Listed heat-up is about 25 seconds for the Rogue 2 and about 60 seconds for the Crafty+.
Charging habits matter more than those numbers. The Rogue 2 has pass-through charging above 20% battery, so you can keep vaping on the cable. The Crafty+ won't heat while it's plugged in at all, so heavy users should plan a charge between sessions.
Loading, cleaning and accessories
Both vapes load the same way: a medium grind, filled loosely and never packed tight. The Rogue 2 box is the fuller one, with a standard mouthpiece, a glass stem, an XL 80 mm glass stem and a travel cover. Cleaning is quick on both. Let the vape cool and brush out the chamber after each session. For a deep clean, soak the Crafty+ cooling unit parts, minus the cap lock, in isopropyl alcohol for up to 30 minutes. Size, build and warranty
The Crafty+ weighs 135 g, and its finned PEEK shell stays cool through back-to-back sessions. The Rogue 2 is a 190 g alloy unibody that still slips into a jeans pocket. Its clearcoat finish shows scuffs after a drop or two. Build quality ties at 8.5.
Warranty favors the Crafty+, with two years of cover from Storz & Bickel. Healthy Rips gives one year of free replacement for eligible faults, followed by a paid half-price replacement program.
