The Universal Baller is the only high-power ball vape with zero metal in its vapor path. Its quartz-lined chamber and 1000 2mm ruby balls create a pure convection heater where the only materials touching your air are quartz, ruby, and glass. Nothing else.
After months of testing, this modular desktop from Terp Chasers Club has produced the most detailed terpene expression we've measured from any ball vape. Its design has become the one other manufacturers copy. The trade-off: flagship-tier pricing and a multi-component setup that demands desk space, a water pipe, and patience. For anyone new to this category, our guide to what ball vapes are and how they work covers the fundamentals.
As of May 2026, the Universal Baller earns its position on our best ball vaporizers ranking. The V2 revision (shipping in 2025) updated the housing to a mixed titanium-and-stainless-steel design and added a wired handle to the standard kit.
Full kit ships with PID controller, dock, and hybrid bowl
The complete kit arrives with everything except a water pipe. Contents include the Universal Baller housing (stainless steel or titanium outer shell), quartz insert, laboratory fritted disc, wireless handle, 22mm hybrid bowl with 18mm glass joint, wireless docking station, Crossing Tech PID controller with power cable, three stainless steel screens, scoop and tamp tool, aluminum filling aid, two snap rings, and Allen key.
The V2 kit now includes both a wireless handle and a wired handle. The optional all-glass bowl and microdosing bowl are separate purchases. We laid out every component from our review kit for the photo below, and the spread gives an honest sense of how many pieces you'll be managing.

Stainless steel and titanium shell protects the all-quartz interior
The Universal Baller V2 uses a multi-material "armored" design. A titanium inner sleeve sits inside a stainless steel outer shell, surrounding the quartz liner. Neither metal contacts the airpath. This dual-layer approach provides physical protection for the fragile quartz and additional thermal mass that boosts heat retention beyond what bare quartz achieves.
At 1500 g assembled, the complete setup demands a permanent station. Factor in the PID controller, docking stand, and your water pipe, and you're dedicating a full desk corner. Machining on the metal components is tight, and the snap ring system locks each configuration securely.
The quartz components are the system's greatest asset and its only real fragility risk. Quartz is chemically inert, thermally stable, and produces zero off-gassing. It also breaks if dropped. Terp Chasers Club does not cover quartz under warranty (the PID and coil carry a lifetime warranty). If the quartz insert breaks, the vape remains fully usable in the all-titanium configuration. The armored approach solves both the fragility and thermal mass problems that plague unshielded all-quartz competitors.
