Venty vs Volcano: vapor and flavor
The Volcano Hybrid scores 9.8 for vapor, the best of any desktop we've tested. The Venty scores 9.5, so you're choosing between two excellent results either way.
The Volcano's heated chamber gives visibly denser first bags than convection-only desktops. It fully extracted a chamber in 2 bags for us. A bag filled at 230°C came out milky white. Sip each balloon within 5 minutes, because the vapor turns harsher as terpenes settle on the bag.
The Venty pulls up to 20 L/min of air, and its flowmeter matches heater output to your draw speed. We mixed gentle sips and full lung pulls in one session, and both gave visible, flavorful clouds. At airflow marks 2 and 3, the vapor was at its fluffiest and coolest.
Ease of use and session style
The Venty leads ease of use, 9.5 to 8.5. Twist off the cooling unit, drop in ground cannabis and hold one button, with no tamping, stirring or technique.
The Volcano Hybrid takes a few more steps: load the chamber, twist it on, then press the air button to fill a balloon. A bag fills in about 35 seconds. You can also attach the tube and draw slowly with the pump off. The fan is audible during balloon fills, and the touch screen sometimes wants a second tap. The web app's Workflows can automate step-ups, climbing from 170°C to 220°C in 5°C steps.
Sharing and group sessions
Groups are the Volcano's home turf: its 0.75 g chamber fills bag after bag without losing density. A full balloon passes easily around a room, and each guest sips at their own pace. The Venty handles two or three friends fine: pack a fresh load, hand it over, and its flowmeter keeps each person's draw thick whatever their pace. Past that, you'll be refilling a 0.3 g oven all night.

The Volcano Hybrid leads build quality, 9.8 to 9.3. Its stainless steel body shrugs off years of daily use, and it never needs charging.
The Venty leads value, 8.5 to 8.0, and costs $250 less. Its two built-in cells are listed at 11 sessions per charge. A 27 W USB-C PD charger gets it to about 80% in 40 minutes. Both carry two years of warranty, plus a third when you register within four weeks (in eligible markets).
