The XMax V4 Pro scores 8.9 overall and the Healthy Rips Rogue 2 scores 8.8, about as close as our scores get. The V4 Pro suits flavor chasers who want adjustable airflow and a swappable battery for $30 less. The Rogue 2 suits pocket carriers who want a sturdier, shorter body they can use while it charges.

Vapor and flavor
The V4 Pro scores 9.2 for vapor quality against 9.0. Its pure convection heater and glass mouthpiece gave us clean, detailed terpene flavor from a loosely packed bowl. The trade-off is heat, since the vapor runs warm through the straight glass mouthpiece. Its built-in 14 mm connection drops into a water pipe with no adapter, which cools each pull.
The Rogue 2's titanium, steel and glass vapor path stays clean too. Around 180-190°C we got bright, terpy notes, and past 200°C the vapor thickens and turns roasted. Its range tops out at 221°C, just above the V4 Pro's 220°C ceiling.
Airflow and session style
The V4 Pro's slider takes the draw from restricted to wide open, and we liked it most fully open. Its on-demand mode heats while you hold the button, for up to 30 seconds per press. That window can cut a slow draw short, so press again and keep drawing.
The Rogue 2 has no airflow dial, so your pack and your choice of glass stem set the draw. It rewards slow 7 to 10 second pulls, and a haptic buzz tells you when it's ready. It scores 9.0 for ease of use against 8.5 for the V4 Pro.
Battery and charging
This is the clearest split between them. The V4 Pro's 18650 swaps through the bottom lid, so a charged spare skips its three-hour charge on a 5 V/1 A plug. XMax rates it at about 12 six-minute sessions at 220°C. The Rogue 2 gave us 10 five-minute sessions and charges in about 90 minutes over USB-C. It also runs on the cable above 20% battery, which the V4 Pro doesn't.
Build, size and value
The Rogue 2 leads build quality, 8.5 against 7.8, and portability, 9.2 against 8.8. Its aluminum alloy unibody fits a jeans pocket, though the clearcoat shows scuffs after a drop or two. The V4 Pro's airflow slider had a little play on our unit, and its glass mouthpiece needs a pocket where it won't take knocks.
Value goes to the V4 Pro, 9.5 against 8.4, the widest gap between them. It tops our best budget vaporizers ranking, with the Rogue 2 right behind in second. Each ships with one dosing capsule, which our dosing capsule guide explains. Both come with a one-year warranty, and Healthy Rips follows its free replacement period with a half-price program.
