Puffco

Puffco launched in 2013 with a mission to elevate the concentrate consumption experience beyond the torch-and-nail setup that dominated at the time. Their early pen-style devices were solid but unremarkable. Everything changed in 2018 with the release of the original Peak, a self-contained electronic dab rig that looked like a sleek water piece but required no torch, no timing, and no expertise. It was a genuine category creator.

The Peak Pro followed in 2020 and cemented Puffco's dominance. Real-time temperature control, a sophisticated app with custom heat profiles, and the signature 3D Chamber that heats concentrates from all sides rather than just the bottom. The device became the status symbol of concentrate culture, spawning countless imitators and an entire ecosystem of aftermarket glass tops and accessories.

Puffco has since expanded with the Proxy (a modular pipe-style device) and the Pivot (a portable pen format), showing willingness to explore form factors beyond the desktop eRig. Roger Volodarsky's company has maintained its premium positioning while competitors undercut on price, betting that concentrate enthusiasts will pay more for the best experience. So far, that bet has paid off handsomely.
